Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to hear from the non-partisan AODA Alliance, ask questions, and learn more about what Accessibility Advisory Committees within the Region of York are doing for persons with disabilities to improve access to your communities, buildings and parks.

Since 2005, the non-partisan AODA Alliance, a community coalition, has led the campaign to achieve a fully accessible Ontario by 2025, as the Accessibility for
Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires. Its predecessor, the Ontarians with
Disabilities Act Committee (which Mr. Lepofsky led from 1995 to 2005)
spearheaded the non-partisan community-based campaign to get Ontario’s accessibility legislation enacted.

The AODA Alliance extends a huge thank you and congratulations to the East Gwillimbury Accessibility Advisory Committee for organizing this event. That this local Accessibility Advisory Committee is organizing this event shows how deep-rooted is the grass-roots support for our campaign for a fully accessible
Ontario.

We hope you can come…

Together, let’s be inspired. Together, let’s be informed. And together, let’s learn about how we can accomplish equal access for all.
