SUMMARY

On November 15, 2011, the new minister responsible for implementing the AODA, Community and Social Services Minister John Milloy, wrote the AODA Alliance. We set out his letter below.

This is a brief introductory letter from Mr. Milloy. It is written in response to our November 1, 2011 letter, where we introduce ourselves and identify his Ministry’s priorities, from our perspective, for the implementation of the AODA. Our letter is available at:

http://www.www.aodaalliance.org/whats-new/new2011/aoda-alliance-writes-new-minister-responsible-for-the-aoda-to-list-key-accessibility-priorities/

In his letter, Mr. Milloy refers to a telephone conversation he recently had with AODA Alliance chair David Lepofsky, in which we offered our help with the AODA’s implementation. We appreciate the Minister agreeing to speak by phone so soon after he assumed this new portfolio.

Dear Mr. Lepofsky:

Thank you for your kind words of congratulation. I am pleased and honoured to be given this opportunity by Premier McGuinty to serve the people of Ontario. It
was a pleasure speaking with you.

Our government wants to keep Ontario moving forward. With your support, we will continue to build on the strong foundation of partnerships that strengthens communities and helps all Ontarians fulfill their potential.

I look forward to continuing to work with you on the important role this ministry will play in reaching that goal.

Sincerely,

Original Signed By
