Looking for a news story that fits perfectly for today, the International Day for People with Disabilities? It’s available right on your computer or smart phone.

Watch the hard-hitting 30 minute long news conference that the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Alliance held last Friday, November 28, 2014, at the Ontario Legislature at Queen’s Park. It was held moments after people with disabilities from all around southern Ontario had gathered at Queen’s Park to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the birth of Ontario’s grassroots movement campaigning for accessibility for over 1.8 million Ontarians with disabilities.

At this news conference, the AODA Alliance detailed why Ontario is lagging behind schedule for reaching full accessibility by 2025, the deadline which the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires. It called for immediate Government action on unkept promises on accessibility. It unveiled a new strategy to ramp up pressure on the Wynne Government.
